Slowdive ถือกำเนิดขึ้นในปี 1989 ที่เมือง Reading, Berkshire ประกอบไปด้วย Rachel Goswell (ร้องนำ, กีตาร์, คีย์บอร์ด), Neil Halstead (ร้องนำและกีตาร์), Christian Savill (กีตาร์), Nick Chaplin (เบส), และ Simon Scott (กลอง)

Having left a lasting impression at Maho Rasop 2018, this year, HAVE YOU HEARD? is stoked to welcome back the legendary dream pop shoegazers. This time, they bring their iconic albums and the latest masterpiece, 'Everything Is Alive,' all set to capture emotions with ethereal and powerful sounds on Monday, March 18th, at Voice Space.
Originating in Reading, Berkshire, in 1989, Slowdive is undoubtedly one of the most influential bands of all time. The lineup consists of Rachel Goswell (vocals, guitar, and keyboard), Neil Halstead (vocals and guitar), Christian Savill (guitar), Nick Chaplin (bass guitar), and Simon Scott (drums).
All members played integral roles in crafting the band's first studio album, ‘Just for a Day’ (1991). Within the shoegaze scene that emerged in the early 1990s in the UK, the band holds a significant place. Although their second studio album, ‘Souvlaki’ (1993), faced mixed reviews at first, it has since evolved into a critically acclaimed masterpiece, recognized as one of the best releases of the 1990s and a definitive shoegaze classic. Soon after releasing their third studio album, ‘Pygmalion,’ in 1995, the band decided to part ways. Goswell and Halstead subsequently collaborated with former Chapterhouse guitarist Simon Rowe, venturing in a new direction with the Mojave 3 project.
Despite being on hiatus for almost two decades, the dream pop and shoegaze aesthetics pioneered by Slowdive continue to resonate in the discographies of contemporary acts like DIIV, Deerhunter, Tame Impala, Grizzly Bear, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, The 1975, and Whirr.
In 2014, Slowdive announced their reunion, followed by a performance at the Primavera Sound festival and subsequently marked their return with the release of a self-titled studio album, ‘Slowdive,’ in 2017, marking their first in 22 years. In September 2023, the band released their highly anticipated fifth album, ‘Everything Is Alive,’ which has garnered praise from critics and achieved commercial success across Europe and the UK. The fifth album features top tracks such as “Kisses,” “Skin In The Game,” “Shanty,” and “The Slap.”
