How does it feel to be back in Thailand again — and this time, with your own show?
It’s very exciting for us! We’re so lucky that people so far from home want to come and see us play, because it means we can spend time in wonderful places like Bangkok. People save up all their lives to go to Thailand, and we get to go there for work — it’s a really special thing.
Your latest album “Forever Howlong” has received great attention. Could you share the inspiration or story behind this record?
We wanted to make a studio record that had elements of music that all six of us love. This is a hard thing to do, but when you pull it off, it means that all of us feel excited and proud of what we created.
The album cover has such a distinct visual identity. How does it connect to the concept or the sound of the record?
It’s so bright, fun, and playful. Despite going for darker sounds in the past, we wanted to make a much brighter and happier record. There are definitely moments of darkness, but the overall outlook of the record feels very much like this painting to me.
Since your early days, Black Country, New Road’s sound has evolved a lot. How would you describe your musical direction now compared to your previous albums?
As I mentioned previously, our sound has definitely brightened, but I think having the three female lead vocals changes the sound a lot from a technical side of things, as well as thematically. We also wanted to really explore the use of group vocals, which is a choice we hadn’t made before this record.
I won’t give away too much, but we will absolutely be playing all the bangers from the record. ;)
What can Thai fans expect from your live show this time? Any surprises or special moments you’d like to share?
If you could describe “Forever Howlong” in just three words, what would they be?

รู้สึกยังไงบ้างที่ได้กลับมาเล่นที่ไทยอีกครั้ง และครั้งนี้เป็นโชว์เดี่ยวของวง
“พวกเราตื่นเต้นมากๆ และรู้สีกโชคดีสุดๆ ที่มีคนที่อยู่ไกลจากพวกเราอยากจะมาดูพวกเราเล่นดนตรี เพราะมันทำให้เรามีโอกาสได้ใช้เวลาในเมืองที่สุดยอดมากๆ อย่างกรุงเทพฯ หลายๆ คนอาจจะต้องเก็บเงินทั้งชีวิตเพื่อมาเที่ยวที่นี่ แต่พวกเรากลับมีโอกาสได้ไปทัวร์คอนเสิร์ต มันพิเศษมากจริงๆ”
อัลบั้มล่าสุด ‘Forever Howlong’ ได้แรงบันดาลมาจากอะไร
“เราอยากทำอัลบั้มที่มีส่วนผสมของดนตรีที่พวกเราทั้งคน 6 ชอบ ซึ่งมันไม่ใช่เรื่องง่าย แต่เมื่อทำมันสำเร็จ ทุกคนในวงก็รู้สึกตื่นเต้นและภูมิใจกับสิ่งที่เราสร้างขึ้นมาจริงๆ”
ปกอัลบั้มสะท้อนคอนเซปต์เพลงในอัลบั้มยังไงบ้าง
“คอนเซปต์ของอัลบั้มนี้สดใส สนุก และขี้เล่น แต่ก่อนเราอาจเคยทำซาวด์ที่หม่นๆ มาบ้าง แต่อัลบั้มนี้เราอยากให้มันสดใสขึ้น ในบางเพลงอาจยังมีความหม่นๆ อยู่บ้าง แต่โดยรวมแล้ว คอนเซปต์ของอัลบั้มนี้ให้ความรู้สึกเหมือนเป็นภาพวาดสำหรับพวกเราจริงๆ”
จากอัลบั้มแรกจนถึงอัลบั้มล่าสุด แนวเพลงของวงเปลี่ยนไปยังไงบ้าง?
“อย่างที่บอกไป แนวเพลงของวงสดใสขึ้น เพราะการมีนักร้องนำหญิง 3 คนทำให้ซาวด์ของพวกเราเปลี่ยนไปมาก ทั้งในแง่เทคนิคและคอนเซปต์ของอัลบั้ม นอกจากนี้เรายังอยากทดลองการร้องแบบเป็นกลุ่ม ซึ่งเป็นอะไรที่เราไม่เคยทำในอัลบั้มก่อนๆ”
“ขอไม่สปอยล์เยอะ แต่รับรองว่าเราจะเล่นเพลงเด็ดๆ จากอัลบั้มครบแน่นอน ;)”
